The first few wraps of the wire rope around the drum (commonly known as the "dead wraps") provide a simple and secure method of anchoring the wire rope to the drum. This (anchoring) is accomplished by the friction (of the dead wraps) tightening against the drum barrel, as a load is applied. As the load on the wire rope increases so does the anchoring effect. SUMO good lifts are used for transferring load from one level/floor to another in a fabricated cage. The complete system includes a standard wire rope hoist, mounted on a supported I-Beam, used to adjust height of the cage. Supporting structure for such as cranes are designed and erected on the site. The material handling lifts are completely independent of the building and can be installed inside or the outside of the building. Fitted on the cage, the wheels run smoothly on the C- guides placed on both the sides of the cage.
